Hattingen Hair Transplantation Spacer Once the grafts are prepared they will be reimplanted into the recipient area using fine forceps. The compact size of the FU's is ideal in permitting the use of the smallest possible recipient site (as small as 0.8 mm). This in turn makes possible the transplantation of large numbers of grafts and their placement at high densities .If adequate donor supplies are available, at Hattingen Hair Transplantation we can routinely transplant over 2000 grafts in one session. Specific "Dense Packing" techniques also allow us to safely achieve densities of 55 grafts/sq. cm. giving the patient a natural looking result with respectable density after just one session.
Besides the technical finesse needed in implanting large numbers of densely placed FU's, a great deal of artistic ability is also required in achieving a truly natural looking hair transplant. Grafts are therefore placed following specific directions, angles, and variations in densities closely replicating the pattern of normal hair growth.
In this regard different areas of the scalp require special considerations.
