About Hair Loss - Female Hair Loss
 Because women have more hair styling options female hair loss seems to be a lot less common, when in fact approximately 40% will suffer some degree of hair loss by the time they are 50 years old. Changing their hair color or hairstyle are options used in initially covering up the problem. While society may accept balding as a normal part of a man's aging process, this does not hold true in the case of female hair loss. When hair loss does occur in women, its effects, especially the psychological ones, can be felt more intensely than would be the case with a man, and ultimately have a significant impact on their self esteem.
Hair loss in women has different causes. In a lot of the cases Androgenetic Alopecia can be blamed, however other causes such as severe emotional or physical stress cannot be ruled out.

In the majority of the women who exhibit these classic patterns of hair loss, the hair on the back of the head remains relatively dense. However the donor area with "strong" permanent hair available for transplantation in women is a little bit more limited than in most men. On the positive side, most women usually retain many of the hairs that exist at their own natural front hairline, as well as some of the hair on top. For this reason, it is important when transplanting on women to use the available donor hair in the most strategic areas, which takes advantage of the manner in which she plans to style her hair. Follicular Unit grafts are ideal in artistically and strategically blending in with existing hair, restoring the "fullness" that women seek.
