What We Do

What is a hair transplantation?

A hair transplant is a surgical procedure in which healthy hair follicles are taken from the back of the head (the donor area) and transplanted into bald or thinning areas (the recipient area). The transplanted follicles retain their genetic information never to fall out. The hair then grows naturally in the new location just as it did in the donor zone.

In principle, a hair transplant is the long-term management of limited donor-hair resources.

Surgical team at work during a hair transplant procedure

Every patient is different.

Donor density, hair calibre, scalp laxity, miniaturisation pattern and future hair loss all influence what is possible and what is advisable.

We do not use standard templates. Every hairline, density distribution and extraction zone is planned individually for each patient.

On the day of surgery, the entire surgical team is dedicated to one patient. We do not run parallel procedures, and critical surgical steps are never delegated.

Areas of expertise

Mega sessions

For suitable candidates with good scalp laxity and a dense donor supply, a single session can place a very large number of follicular units. Properly executed, this can achieve in one procedure what might otherwise require multiple smaller sessions.

FUE

Follicular Unit Extraction harvests individual follicular units directly from the donor area. It leaves no linear scar and is well suited to patients who prefer shorter hair or have more limited donor supply.

FUT

For suitable candidates with good scalp laxity and a dense donor supply, a single FUT session can place up to 7,000 follicular units. Properly executed, this can achieve in one procedure what might otherwise require multiple FUE sessions.

Repair surgery

We see patients with poorly placed hairlines, visible plugs or over-harvested donor areas. Repair surgery is demanding, and we are clear about what can and cannot be corrected.

Individualised long-term strategy planning

Hair loss continues after a transplant. We plan every procedure with the next decade in mind, preserving donor supply, designing hairlines that age naturally and ensuring that future treatment remains possible.

Correcting Previous Procedures

We regularly treat patients who are unhappy with previous procedures. Repair surgery can be complex, so we begin with an honest assessment of what can realistically be achieved.

Unnatural hairlines, plug-style grafts, visible scarring, over-harvested donor areas and poorly angled grafts are among the most common issues we see. How much can be corrected depends largely on the quality and availability of the remaining donor hair.

Not every transplant can be fully corrected. Some scarring is permanent, and an over-harvested donor area may limit what is possible. We will always be clear about what can be improved and recommend the best course of action.

Glossary or Technical Terms Explained

We offer three techniques — FUE, FUT and BHT (body hair transplantation). The right choice depends entirely on your donor supply, hair loss pattern, and long-term goals. We decide together.

Follicular Unit Extraction (FUE) is a minimally invasive hair transplant technique where individual follicular units are extracted directly from the donor area. This method leaves no linear scar and allows for faster healing. FUE is ideal for patients who prefer to wear their hair short or have limited donor hair availability.

MORE

Follicular Unit Transplantation (FUT) is a highly efficient hair transplant method, as up to 7,000 follicular units can be transplanted in a single session for suitable candidates. With a hair count of just 2.2, this translates to 15,400 hairs. In our opinion, the only way to achieve natural and aesthetic results is to transplant a large number of follicular units during the first treatment.

Body Hair Transplantation (BHT) can be used in selected cases to supplement scalp donor hair. Detailed clinic text will follow.
